chapter 3
They drove fast as the hours went by, they stopped at a bed and breakfast on the main road towards kilkeny, the hostess showed them in to a comfortable double bed room, Gil crashed immediately on the bed next to the TV and opened it, amit was checking the map for tomorrow, and Gil zapped between channels. Amit broke the silence and asked 'but how do we get in? That newgrange lottery has winning chances like a real raffle- we have to be sure that we get in'. gil yawned for a second but then responded,'are you familiar with pigmies?' , 'what, the African tribes?' asked amit, 'yes, that's the one, what's special about them is their height, a pigmy is about 5 feet, for the tallest ones', 'so what?' amit said while loosing interest, 'do you remember what the guide said at newgrange, she said that they had found remains of the people back then, small bones, they thought it was the bodies of children, but it's not', 'it's not, how do you know' amit asked while gazing at gil, 'these are pigmy bones', what the hell are you talking about', ' here me out, have patience' said Gil. 'do you know of Pangaea, the ancient continent ' ,'No' amit replied , 'well, Pangaea was the world only continent a few billion years ago, then it split- for to 2 sub continent and then each sub continent slowly parted to the continents we know today, what if Ireland was once a part of the southern continent Guandovana – and not the northern like the rest of Europe. What if the first homo sapience for fathers which were originated from Africa, also moved to Ireland while it was part of the main land, when the island split, they stayed on it, till the island settled in the current location, there are lots of evidence that a Europe was a basis for one of the 1st races of man, a race long extinct", 'again, what's your point' ' my point is that these tribes were not extinct 30 thousand years ago, as generally believed, but 5800 years ago, on the same year that new grange was completed."'But how does this gets us in?', 'well, what if it was these tribes, who were pigmy like in appearance probably, short and dark skinned, what if they built new grange, as salves, of the race which took over Ireland at the time, what if the Irish ancestors who inhabited the island, also removed it's former inhabitants, and is there a better way to kill people then by letting them work for you, to build something you want them to, something you made believe was heavenly, something which cost them their lives','But what?' amit asked, a little annoyed by the unforeseen lecture, ' lepricons , amit, lepricons'.
Chapter 2
'Come on, hurry Harben and chop that tree' said Kelcol 'this is the last stone, the council wishes for it to arrive before the next full moon', Harben did as his father told him and chopped the birch tree with his dull stone exe. This task was hard but he was accustomed to it, this, the council said will be considered as a task fitting the transition of becoming a man. Harben was glad that he had this opportunity to prove his worth, at the age of nine, Harben was a mature young man, and his father Kelcol was reaching his golden years at the mature age of 24, Harben chopped down the tree and placed it under the heavy stone. They tied their hempen ropes around the huge stone and began to pull. The surrounding hills were not green yet, Harben told to him self, when spring arrives it will be green and the red deer would roam these hills, Harben was getting hungry, after only eating mutton and mushroom this winter, which was colder then most, the deer meat he so craved for, was yet out of reach. They pulled the stone inch by inch, each time replacing the last tree and moving him to the front of the stone, their progress was slow but they would get there, in time for the spring festivities, to witness the ceremony they have waited for, even before Harben was born.
Chapter 1
The old Irish pub was full as it always was, a local band was playing Irish songs, and the customers were enjoying the new non smoking law. Gil and amit sat at a table with some friends they had met that day, amit was finishing his second Guinness while Gil was sipping his sprite slowly, their mood was high and laughter was aplenty, suddenly Gil froze in his seat and his face turned serious for a change, amit gave him puzzled glances but did not ask anything, Gil continue to appear as if thinking, amit went to order another pint when Gil grabbed his arm an told him his idea, amit said 'you're drunk on sprite' and went to get his beer, Gil though some more and did not say a word at all that evening.Next morning when they shared bread, butter and apples with other hostel guests, amit asked Gil to explain his theory, when Gil finished, amit appeared convinced, they finished their breakfast, packed and were on their way to another Druidic stone circle in county cork, Gil was ecstatic and never said much, amit said he still needed further proof. So they drove fast on the Irish country roads, almost running over a cyclist while the local radio station were asking callers to solve questions and playing Madonna's latest hit. When they reached the site of the circle, gil quickly got out and hurried with his camera. He surrounded the circle and said out loud, 'you see, I was right, we have to inspect the other sites'. Amit told him to relax, "you will never get enough proofs, who will listen to you, we are just tourists", but gil as always followed he's initial instincts and said 'we have to try, even for the sake of trying'. Amit sighed but agreed. They stopped at a local store in a town with beautiful Georgian style colorful houses and ate some bread with pastrami and chips, and continued on their way, it started to rain again that day which slowed their progress and Gil drove fast and kept saying, the winter solstice is in 3 days , we have to get there…
